About

About the author

Biography

J. L. R. Fesser was born in Bogotá, Colombia, studied film production, and now lives in Cobeña, Spain, with his wife Liliana and their two dogs, Tomasa and Ginger. He writes nihilistic, ontological Weird Fiction: dark worlds where reality is thin, gods are chained in basements, and the self turns out to be the first thing that goes missing.

A lifelong devotee of board games and tabletop role-playing, he builds his fiction the way a game master builds a campaign, with rules that feel almost fair until they close around the reader. His work has appeared in Flash Phantoms and is forthcoming in The Illusion and the Borderlands, an official supplement for Kult: Divinity Lost.
